عمدة نيويورك يمدد حظر التجوال حتى نهاية الأسبوع
أعلن عمدة مدينة نيويورك “بيل دي بلاسيو”، خلال مؤتمر صحفي اليوم الثلاثاء، تمديد حظر التجوال الليلي في المدينة حتى نهاية الأسبوع، وسط الاضطرابات المستمرة بعد مقتل الأمريكي ذو الأصول الأفريقية جورج فلويد.
ويبدأ حظر التجوال من الساعة الثامنة مساءا، حتى الساعة الخامسة صباحا.
وقال “دي بلاسيو”، “سنتخذ خطوات فورية لضمان السلام والنظام اليوم وطوال الأسبوع في نيويورك، سنقوم بتمديد حظر التجول حتى نهاية الأسبوع”.
ويأتي الإعلان عن فرض حظر التجول في وقت انطلقت فيه تظاهرات جديدة، فضلا عن أعمال سلب ونهب للمتاجر، إذ احتشد حوالي ألف شخص في ساحة “تايمز سكوير” مساء الاثنين.
ومنذ الخميس، خرج الآلاف من سكان العديد من المدن الأمريكية، إلى الشوارع، للتعبير عن غضبهم إزاء وحشية الشرطة والعنصرية في البلاد واحتجاجًا على مقتل جورج فلويد على يد شرطة مينيابوليس.
