عمدة نيويورك يحذر من نفاد لقاحات كورونا هذا الأسبوع
حذر عمدة مدينة نيويورك بيل دي بلاسيو من أن جرعات لقاح كورونا ستنفد هذا الأسبوع وسيتعين إلغاء مواعيد تسلمها ما لم يتم الحصول على كمية جديدة منها.
وقال: “لن يتبقى لدينا شيء من اللقاحات حتى يوم الجمعة. نهدف إلى تطعيم 300000 شخص هذا الأسبوع، لكن ليس لدينا سوى 92000 جرعة”.
وتابع: “لدينا القدرة على تطعيم عدد كبير من الناس، لكننا نحتاج إلى اللقاح”.
ودي بلاسيو هو الأحدث بين عدد متزايد من مسؤولي الولايات والمسؤولين المحليين الذين يطالبون الحكومة الفيدرالية بتخصيص المزيد من الجرعات.
وطلب حاكم نيويورك أندرو كومو، يوم أمس من شركة “فايزر” تأمين شراء الجرعات منها مباشرة بدلا من انتظار عملية التوزيع الفدرالية.
